Obituary of William F. Hayden

William "Bill" F. Hayden of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2023, at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. Bill was born on November 19, 1949 in the Bronx, NY to the late William and the late Mary (McMahon) Hayden.

Bill was employed by the Social Security Administration as a technical expert for over 30 years receiving the prestigious National Commissioner's Award. He was a parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong and an Alcoholics Anonymous member for 20 years, many of which he served as a sponsor. Bill enjoyed the ocean and reading but most importantly, he loved spending time with his devoted family and many friends. He was very knowledgeable in all subjects and was known for always helping others.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Jackie (Bebo), his devoted daughters, Kathy Taylor (Ken) and Jessica Hayden (Matt Murphy) and his cherished grandchildren, Liam, Trevor, Killian and Jason. Additional survivors include his siblings; Stephen Hayden and Patricia Leyden and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Bill was predeceased by his siblings, Jean Ann Hayden and Michael Hayden and his step-mother, Agnes Selesky.

Bill's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Tuesday, July 18th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday morning, July 19th at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ.
