Obituary of William Clifford

William Clifford of Hopatcong died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. He was 71 years old. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Boonton before moving to Hopatcong 35 years ago. Before retiring he worked as a counterman at Ridgewood Corporation in Rockaway. An Army veteran, he served in Korea receiving the Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Defense Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. William enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Byram Community Club and the American Legion Post #0245 of Lake Hopatcong. Beloved husband of the late Helen (1994). Loving father of Michael Knehr of Oakland, CA, Christopher Clifford of Hopatcong and Coleen Kimble of Newton and the late William (2002). Cherished Grandfather of 4 grandchildren.
