Obituary of William H. Sutphen

William H. Sutphen Sr. died Monday September 10 at his home. He was 65 years old. Born in Newark, Mr. Sutphen resided in Belleville prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1963. He was the owner/operator of Hopatcong Hardware in Hopatcong for 22 years retiring in 2004. Mr. Sutphen loved boating, fishing and camping. He was past Chief of the Hopatcong Fire Department, member of the Exempt Fireman's Association and the Musconetcong Lodge #151 F & AM of Budd Lake. Loving husband of Priscilla. Beloved father of William H. Jr., Sherri Norlander and her husband, John all of Hopatcong. Adoring grandfather of Alissa and Brianna Norlander.
