Obituary of Olga Baatz

Olga (Olly) Baatz, 90, of the Ledgewood section of Roxbury passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Sussex Homestead in Frankford. Born on July 20, 1925 in Connecticut, Olga resided in Newark, Millburn and Union prior to residing in Hopatcong for 25 years and Ledgewood for the last 17 years. Olga's favorite pastime was "sunworshipping". She enjoyed family outings to Tomahawk Lake, Lake Hopatcong and the Hopatcong State Park. Olga loved hot fudge sundaes, flowers, gardening, hummingbirds, the music of Dean Martin and Eddie Arnold, watching TV and shopping. She will be remembered as a hard worker, for her generosity and her humor. Olga was a legal secretary, employed by Pitney, Hardin, Kipp and Szuch of Madison for over 25 years. She was a parishioner of St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong and St. Therese Church in Succasunna and a member of the Roxbury Forever Young Seniors and the Red Hats Society. Loving wife of the late Joseph E., beloved mother of Joseph E. Baatz and his wife Patricia Regan and daughter, Lisa A. Baatz, adoring grandmother of Christopher Joseph Baatz, Lauren Regan Baatz and Brayden Joseph Erker and dear sister of the late Michael, Stanley and Polly. Olga's Life Celebration will included visiting on Sunday October 18 from 1-3PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A catholic prayer service will be offered at 3:00PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
