Eberhard was our faculty advisor for our Fraternity. After a few months we invited him to join our fraternity and he was so happy and glad to be asked. He was so honored. It's us who were honored to have such a great advisor and friend. We were kids. You don't realize it when you're so young. I wish I could tell him one more time how much I appreciated having him around. I'm glad I did tell him in the past, but I would love to have been able to catch up with him. Time just motors by and so many things don't get done. I'm glad that Eberhard knew how much we appreciated him. The invitation to become our
Brother went both ways, but the honor was all ours. Thanks for everything, Brother.

I will always remember Eberhard's warm and booming greeting. I never saw him without a smile. My first visit to his print shop left a lasting impression and even after I graduated I would never hesitate to visit him when stopping by campus. His wonderful spirit will be missed.

Eberhard's print shop was in the same building as the offices in which I worked. When I wondered down to his domain to ask a printing favor, I always left with a smile.
I pray he is at peace and that his family knows he was loved.

As a faculty member at Seton Hall, I worked with Eberhard for many years. What stands out for me are two traits: first of all, he was a gentleman, carrying himself with dignity and respect. Second, he had a wry sense of humor, on and off the job. I miss him. God bless, Frank.

I remember Eberhard from my earliest years at Seton Hall. He was always friendly and kind to me, as a young English professor. I will remember him and his family in my prayers.

Farewell, Eberhard! Many good memories from the years we were at Seton Hall together - I would bring exams and things for printing, and he would stop by the Chemistry department sometimes on Tuesdays when we had donuts for seminar.
Auf wiedersehen!

RIP Herr Grosse. Thank you for taking care of my print jobs while I worked at SHU. You were always good for a story. I know you enjoyed your travels to Hawaii, and a special place of Sprecklesville,Maui....I will have a beer and toast to you when I travel there this January.
