Obituary of Thomasina P. Grogan

Thomasina Pauline Grogan of Netcong, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 24th at her daughter's home in Roxbury Township surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old. Thomasina was born on September 27, 1931 in Netcong, NJ to the late James and Katie (Arbolino) DeMuccio. She was the Borough Clerk in Netcong from 1967 to 1995. Thomasina was a lifelong resident of Netcong and a 1949 graduate of Netcong High School. She was a devout and active parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church and a longtime member of the Netcong Seniors. She enjoyed baking, family vacations in LBI but most precious to her was spending time with her cherished family. Thomasina is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Paul C., her son, Timothy & his wife, Angela, her daughters, Sandi Grogan, Cathy Weaver & her husband, Earl, and Maureen Zaccarino & her husband, Joseph. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren; Ryan & Toni Weaver, Eric & Jessica Weaver, Katie & Adam Cooney, Vincent & Joseph Zaccarino, Paul & Anthony Grogan, and Colleen Grant, her great-granddaughter, Grace Brennan Cooney, her brother, Carmine DeMuccio, her sister-in-law, Rosemarie Oudine and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her grandson, Andrew Weaver in 1996. Thomasina's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, December 27th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, December 28th at 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Thomasina will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ immediately following the funeral mass.
