Obituary of Marlene Friedrichs Block

Marlene Friedrichs Block of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Friday, December 25th at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 73. Marlene was born April 29, 1942 in Nebel/Amrum Germany to the late Dietmar and the late Margaret (Vogt) Friedrichs. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and homemaker. Marlene was an avid reader and enjoyed watching jeopardy but most importantly she loved and cherished her family. She resided in Lake Hopatcong for the past 36 years and previous to that, she lived in Teaneck, NJ. Marlene is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Peter H., her son, Jens Peter & his wife, Kathleen, her cherished grandchildren, Riley and Paige and her nieces, Karen, Irene and Erika She was pre-deceased by her brother, Ditmar Harry Friedrichs. Marlene's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 2nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a prayer service offered at 1:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
