Obituary of Frank T. Milone

Frank T. Milone, 65, of Lake Hopatcong, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Lyons VA LTC Facility in Bernards Township. Born in Hackensack, Frank resided in Jersey City prior to becoming a resident of Lake Hopatcong over 35 years ago. Frank was a proud Vietnam War Veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army from 1969-1973. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Air Medal and the Marksman Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar. Frank was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter #327 of Stanhope, Purple Hearts Association Kearny Chapter, American Legion Post of Lake Hopatcong and the Disabled American Veterans Netcong Chapter Survivors include his mother Angelina Boyd, three sisters, Linda, Roseann and Theresa and a brother, Kenneth. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Franks Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday, February 22 from 5-8pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral prayer service will be offered on Tuesday, February 23 beginning at 10:30am at the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday morning beginning at 9AM prior to services. Frank will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA following prayers. For memorial donations, please consider Vietnam Veterans of America, Robert E.
