Obituary of Joao Campos

Joao "John" Campos, of Hopatcong, passed away on December 4 at Newton Medical Center. He was 43. Born in Santarem, Portugal, John came to the United States at age 4 and settled in Bedminster, NJ before moving to Hopatcong 16 years ago. He was employed as an Auto Body Technician at Paul Miller in Wayne. John volunteered many hours as a soccer coach for the Hopatcong Hawks and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His favorite activity was spending time with his family, especially riding ATV's with his daughters. Devoted husband of 15 years of Kimberly (Giblock), he is also survived by his daughters, Elisa and Isabel Campos and Stephanie Haffner, parents, Jose Manuel and Maria Amalia Campos, sister, Patricia Campos and her husband Carlos Moreira, maternal grandmother Maria Dos Anjos Galvao, a niece, Gaby Moreira and mother and father in law, Sally and Robert Giblock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend John's Life Celebration on Saturday December 7 from 5-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. Cremation was privately held.
