Obituary of John "Jack" Cassidy

John “Jack” Cassidy of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Sunday, March 13th at home. He was 62 years old. Jack was born on July 28, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a carpenter and worked on many local churches. Jack was a longtime resident of Hopatcong. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a NY Giants fan but most importantly, he enjoyed going to fairs and festivals with his grandson RJ, and spending time with his granddaughter Mariah. Jack is survived by his devoted daughter, Rebecca Hagens & her husband, Ralph, his cherished grandchildren, RJ and Mariah, his mother, Teresa Gallager, his step father, Sean Gallager, and his step-daughter, Jessica Cacchio. Additional survivors include his brother, Michael, his sisters; Christine, Ann, Shelia and Pat and many nieces, nephews and caring friends. He was pre-deceased by is beloved wife, Kathy Jean Cassidy in 2006, his son, John J. Cassidy Jr. In 2014. Jack’s Life Celebration will include a memorial mass at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington, NJ on Wednesday, March 23 at 11:00 am. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
