Obituary of Arthur E. Constantine

Arthur E. Constantine of Stanhope, NJ passed away on Monday, April 4th at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 92. Arthur was born on November 13, 1923 in Port Morris, NJ to the late Frederick and the late Lydia (Tron) Constantine. In his early years, Arthur worked on the railroad, the IBEW Union and then was an electrician employed by the Roxbury Township Board of Education for many years before retiring. Arthur was a veteran of the United States Navy and he enjoyed golfing, camping and trips to Atlantic City. Arthur was often seen driving his scooter throughout Netcong and Stanhope. He was a member of the American Legion Post #278 in Stanhope, a lifetime member and former County Commander of the VFW Post #2347 and a former member of the Stanhope-Netcong American Legion Ambulance Corps. Arthur is survived by his devoted daughters; Anita & her husband, Fred, Adrienne & her husband, Richard and Angel. Additional survivors include 7 cherished grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Ed and many nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Anna (LaRusso) on January 25, 2016, twin daughters, and his siblings, Emile Constantine , Helene Glick and Evelyn Charles. Arthur will be laid to rest privately with his wife, Anna in Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. All services have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
