Obituary of Howard Sharrott

Howard Sharrott passed away on Monday November 25, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. He was 85. Born in Staten Island, NY, Howard grew up there and resided in Mountain Lakes before retiring to Boonton in 2003. He worked as a lighting designer for ABC Television where he won an Emmy Award for Technical Excellence while working on the soap opera "Loving". Howard was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1946-1948. He enjoyed traveling and camping the western United States, visiting it's many National Parks. Howard also enjoyed caring for his boxer dogs. Survivors include son, Stephen, Daughter, Susan (Sharrott) Gaffney and husband, Mark and two grandsons, Justin and Ryan Gaffney. Howard was predeceased by his sister, Winifred Tews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Howard's Life Celebration on Sunday December 1 from 1-3 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A prayer service will be offered at 2:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home
