Obituary of Margherita DiBernard

Margherita DiBernard, 90, of Netcong, passed away on Monday May 30, 2016, at Kindred Hospital at St. Clare's Dover Campus. Born on January 4, 1926, in Caserta, Italy to the late Angelo and Marianna (Iacuzzio) Baron, Margherita came to the United States as a "war bride" in 1946 and settled in Netcong. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and baking and was a devout Catholic praying the rosary daily. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Netcong and loved spending many hours at the Mt. Olive Senior Center. Margherita played the piano, loved dancing and doing word searches. Above all else, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Devoted wife of the late Orlando "Earl" who passed away in 1985. Margherita was incredibly proud of her Italian roots and family heritage. Survivors include her children, AnnaMarie Mahieu (Jim), Janet Chanda (Bob), Sandy Sucameli (Sep), Bob DiBernard (Carolyn), Lynn Nesterok (Dave) and Steve DiBernard (Sheri), 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, a brother- in- law and a sister- in- law. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews. Margherita's Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday June 2 from 2-7 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will offered Saturday June 4 beginning at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Margherita will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp.
