Obituary of Margaret Nolan

Margaret Nolan of Mount Arlington NJ passed away on Monday, May 30th at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old. Margaret was born on June 14, 1934 in New York City to the late Neil and the late Adele Slevin She was a graduate of Lenox Hill Hospital Nursing School and retired after working many years as a nurse at Helen Hayes Hospital in Stony Point, NY. Margaret resided in Stony Point, NY before moving to Mount Arlington, NJ eleven years ago. She was an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington. Margaret enjoyed traveling and crossword puzzles but most importantly, she loved spending time with her cherished family. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Matthew, her son, Kevin and his wife, Delia, her daughter-in-law, Christine and her cherished grandchildren, Katie, Chris, Jennifer, Jerry and Michael. Additional survivors include her brother, Neil Slevin and her sister Elizabeth Nolan. She was pre-deceased by her son, Matthew in 2014, her brother, John Slevin and her sister, Ann McGarry. Margaret's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, June 5th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, June 6th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, 8 Windemere Avenue in Mt. Arlington, NJ. For memorial donations, please consider the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
