Obituary of Betty May Alk

Betty May Alk, 88, of Hopatcong passed away on Friday June 3 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 6, 1928 in Oxford, NJ to the late Michael and the late Emily Arendasky, Betty was an active member of the Port Morris United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Deborah Hospital Foundation. Betty has lived in Hopatcong for many years and owned the Lake Hopatcong Liquor Store in Landing. Betty was predeceased by her husband William in 2007. Survivors include her daughter Catherine Haun and a grandson Brian and his wife, Allison. A memorial gathering is scheduled for 11:00 am on Saturday June 11 at the Port Morris United Methodist Church, 296 Center Street, Landing, NJ. Cremation was conducted privately.
