Obituary of Lois C. Paulus

Lois C. Paulus passed away on Sunday November 17, 2013 at her home in Hopatcong. She was 81 years of age. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 12, 1932 to the late Fred and Mary (Simons) Hansley, Lois resided in South Plainfield and Warren prior to moving to Hopatcong 10 years ago. She earned a BA from Hunter College, New York, NY. Lois was a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and also a Prayer Counselor for the Christian Broadcasting Network. She was an active volunteer with the Lyons VA Hospital in Basking Ridge and President of Women's Aglow of Basking Ridge. Lois was a wonderful cook, an avid knitter and gardener and sang in the church choir at Trinity United Church in Warren and the First Presbyterian Church of Berkshire Valley in Jefferson. Lois' celebrated the Love of the Lord in all of her life. Devoted wife of William, Jr., loving mother of William W. Paulus and wife, Misse, Susan L. Ormesher and Lori B. LaMaire and husband, Jim, adoring grandmother of Elizabeth Salcedo and husband, Daniel, Brice and Matthew Ormesher, Katie and Emily Paulus and Brent and Jordan LaMaire. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lois' Life Celebration on Thursday November 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A prayer service will be offered Thursday evening at 7:30PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
