Obituary of James Kenny

James Kenny, 63, of Hopatcong, passed away on Sunday June, 19, 2016, at Morristown Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Paterson, NJ on August 7, 1952 to the late Henry and Frances (DiLiberto) Kenny, James was retired from his employment as Manager of Foodtown Supermarkets in the Haledon and Paterson areas. James served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1970 – 1972. He has been a resident of Hopatcong for over 40 years. Survivors include his companion Linda Schall, a daughter, Nicole Bell (John), a son, James H. Kenny (Melissa), three step-children, Allison Pennella (Brien), Jason Schall (Katherine) and Jeanine Ausmus (Jay), ten grandchildren and a sister Rosemary Kolialis (John). James' Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday June 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Catholic Prayer service will be offered on Friday June 24 beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 am prior to prayers.
