Obituary of Alice Denega

Alice Denega Formerly of Indiana, Pa. Alice Denega (nee Goral) formerly of Indiana, Pa. passed away on June 20, 2016 at Merry Heart in Succasunna at the age of 95. She has gone to join her husband of 58 years, Sam. At her bedside was her family. Alice was born on March 3, 1921, the third of seven children in Manhattan, NY to Theodore Goral and Ksenia Charnetsky Goral. She attended a true one room school house in Homer City, Pa. She grew up on a farm during the depression years. She met her future husband while working in New Jersey. He had returned from the War and on October 25, 1947 they married. They were blessed with a daughter, Linda. After living in Manhattan, they moved to the Bronx in 1954. Followed was a move to Paramus, NJ in 1962 and finally moving back to Alice's "home" Indiana, Pa. after Sam's retirement. Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Sam. Also preceding Alice were her brothers, Steve & his wife, Blanche, Morris & his wife, Evelyn and John & his wife Helen, who is still living. One brother Mike is still living, having lost his wife Catherine many years ago. Also preceded by one sister, Kitty Goral Talent & her husband, Robert. To carry on her memory is her sister Ann Goral Willis. All call or have called Indiana home. Alice leaves behind her daughter Linda & husband, Warren Lang. Grandson Christopher & his wife, Erica Gaspercia. One great grandson Christopher Jr. Also many nieces & nephews to share in fond memories. Alice's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday, June 24th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service on Friday evening, June 24th at 7:30 pm also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's name to a cancer charity of your choice.
