Obituary of Carol Jean Mendel

Carol Jean (Esposito) Mendel of Stanhope, NJ passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Madison, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 75 years old. Carol was born on October 11, 1940, in Dover, NJ to the late Alice (Knarr) and the late George Mendel. She was a custodian at Mt. Olive High School for many years before retiring. Carol was a longtime resident of Stanhope. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers win with her sister-in-law, Elaine. Carol is survived by her sons, Mike Esposito (Geralynn) and David Esposito, her daughters, Joann Peterson and Leann Jost (Erik), her brothers, Donnie Mendel, Thomas Mendel and George Mendel and 5 cherished grandchildren. Carol's Life Celebration arrangements were conducted privately and at the convenience of the family. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
