Obituary of Dorothy Jean Valli

Dorothy Jean Valli of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 18th at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She was 87 years old. Dorothy was born on June 2, 1929 in Carbondale, PA, to the late Theresa (Carone )and the late Daniel Constantine. She was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, NJ and also enjoyed her second residence in Jensen Beach, Florida. Dorothy served as the Tax Collector for the Borough of Hopatcong for many years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and playing tennis. Dorothy was known to be great with numbers and for her terrific fashion sense but most importantly, she loved spending time with her cherished family. "Her family was her life." Dorothy is survived by the love of her life, her beloved husband of 66 years, Rudy, her daughters, Linda Falciola & her husband, Richard and Lisa Finnis & her husband, Edward, her sons, Robert & his wife, Cathy, Rudy & his wife, Maryanne and Richard & his wife, Giovanna. Additional survivors include her 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, her brother, AJ Constantine and her sister, Anna Mae Sofia. She was pre-deceased by 3 sisters. Dorothy's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, October 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, October 21st at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
