Obituary of Brenton Bassin

Brenton Bassin, 80, of Hopatcong passed away on Sunday October 23, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 20, 1936 in Hoboken, NJ, Brenton has resided in Hopatcong for the last 47 years. He was a proud US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Edith Jane, daughter, Beth Lynn Maldonado and her husband, Steven, a son, Brenton H. Bassin and his wife, Deirdre and three grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren Maldonado and Nathan Bassin. Brenton's Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday October 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will be conducted privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the family.
