Obituary of Linda Summers

Linda Summers of Landing, NJ passed away on Monday, October 24th surrounded by her loving family. She was 67 years old. Linda was born on October 17, 1949 in Queens, NY to the late Joseph and the late Evelyn (Vondrak) Festo. She was a Special Education Teachers Aide employed by the Roxbury Township School District for many years before retiring. In addition, she was a RN and a loving nanny to the Rooney Boys. Mrs. Summers was a longtime resident of the Landing section of Roxbury Twp., NJ. She was an avid “crafter” and enjoyed watching horror movies. Linda is survived by her devoted sons, John Jr. & his companion, Melissa and Keith, her sisters, Mina and Chrissie, her cherished nieces and nephews; Melissa, Carly, Jessie, Dylan, Kylie and Trace and her faithful canine companion, Laddie. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, John Summers Sr. in 2005. All services were entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ and were held privately at the convenience of the family. Linda’s Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Saturday November 5 from 1-5PM at the American Legion, 210 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.
