Obituary of Donald P. Ferrer

Donald P. Ferrer, 74, of Stanhope, passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2016 at Hackettstown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 5, 1942 in Newark, NJ, to the late Henry and Rena Ferrer, Donald has resided in Stanhope for 43 years. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1963-1965. He worked as an union electrician for IBEW Local # 581 in Parsippany. Donald loved to play golf, especially at his home course; SkyView Golf Club in Sparta, NJ. Survivors include his devoted wife, Josephine (Keyes), three beloved children, Chris Ferrer, Kim Ferrer and Kevin Ferrer and his wife, Amber. Five adoring grandchildren, Bethany, Nicholas, Miranda, Trinity and Isabel and his dear brother, Henry Ferrer and his wife Sharon. Donald's Life Celebration will include visiting on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 2-6PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Saturday evening at 5:30PM at the funeral home followed by Military Honors. Cremation will be private.
