Obituary of Edward M. Miller

Edward M Miller, of the Ledgewood section of Roxbury Township, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's in Dover. He was 82. Born in Morristown on May 15, 1932 to the late Mark Z. and Margaret (Condon) Miller, Ed resided in Morris Plains before moving to Ledgewood 50 years ago. He served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He worked as a 1st Class Meter Tester for JCP&L in Morristown and retired in 1994 after 30 years of service. Ed was predeceased by brothers, Donald Miller, Robert Miller and sisters, Evelyn Mitchell, Dorothy Hull and Gloria Holmes Devoted husband of 50 years of Patricia (Holmes) Miller, loving father of Jean Perry and husband, Tom and Kathy Harkins and husband, James, adoring grandfather of Erin & Megan Perry and Kyle & Daniel Harkins, dear brother of Helen Ungermah and brother in law of Edward Holmes. Also surviving are eight nieces and nephews. Services will include visitation on Friday March 27 from 4-8 PM at Leber-lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday March 28 beginning at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Ed will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery.
