Obituary of Joan E. Hogan

Joan E. Hogan, 84, of Verona, passed away on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Detroit, MI on January 15,1932 to the late August and Florence (McCabe) Purello, Joan resided in Verona for over 50 years. She worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Automatic Switch in Florham Park before her retirement. She enjoyed talking politics and spending many summers at the beach in Manasquan, NJ. Joan was a lifelong parishoner of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona. Survivors include her devoted husband, of 62 years, John E. "Jack", her loving children, Glenn E. Hogan and Colleen A. Fortunato and her husband, Paul, two adoring grandchildren, Michelle Fortunato and Matthew Fortunato and his wife, Ashley, a great granddaughter, Aubrey Fortunato and a dear sister, Marilyn Conti. Joan's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday December 4, 2016 from 11AM-3PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at 2:30PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
