Obituary of Shirley Ruth Blewett

Shirley Ruth Blewett passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old. Shirley was born on March 13, 1934 in Dalton, Pa. to the late Warren Edward Cook and the late Jean Dallas (Gordon) Cook. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Jean Jenkins. Shirley was a longtime resident of Succasunna and Ledgewood, NJ. She was a bus driver for the township of Randolph for many years before retiring. Shirley enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and camping with her family and friends. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family. Shirley was an active member of the Ledgewood Baptist Church and was a devoted Sunday school teacher. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles W. and their five devoted sons, Charles and wife Margaret, Scott, Gordon and wife Beth, Clifford and wife Kim, Ed and wife Daryl. Shirley cherished her grandchildren, Wendi, Sarah and husband Gary, Correna, Tyler, and wife Kyra, Adam, Michael, Christopher, Genevieve and Kimberly. The celebration of Shirley's life will include a Memorial Service to be held at the Ledgewood Baptist Church on March 18, 2017 at 10 am.
