Obituary of David D. Bearfield

David D. Bearfield of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28th at Morris Hills Center in Morristown, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. Known to his family and many friends as "Bear" or "Lucky", David was born on April 17, 1946 in Newark, NJ to the late Clara (Young) Bearfield and the late Jesse Bearfield. He worked at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp., NJ for 28 years before retiring and more recently he worked at the Home Depot in Dover for 14 years. Mr. Bearfield resided in Hopatcong for the past 33 years and previous to that, he lived in Parsippany, NJ. David loved playing pool and considered himself to be a "pool shark" and he also enjoyed watching and playing football. David is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Connie, his devoted daughter, Carolyn, his sisters, Carolyn Miller and Renee Loper-Thurmond, his brother-in-law, Earl, his Aunts, Rachel Garretson, Ruth Taylor and Hattie Bearfield Leach and his Uncle, Eugene Bearfield & his wife Lottie. He was predeceased by his sister, Almeatro Koon and his brother, Renard. David's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Saturday, June 3rd from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Service offered at 2:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
