Obituary of Craig Gerndt

Craig Steven Gerndt, 48, of Andover passed away on Tuesday June 27, 2017.

Born in Denville to the late Frank and Lois (Bloom) Gerndt, Craig resided in Lake Hopatcong prior to moving to Andover in 1993. Craig was a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer for the Morris County Sheriff's Department Correctional Facility.

Craig enjoyed history, Civil War reenacting, attending classic car shows, boating , fishing and riding ATV's. He was also a passionate NASCAR fan. Craig was a member of PBA Local #298 and a parishioner of Good Shepherd Church in Andover. Through all his activities and hobbies, Craig's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Susan (Wagner), his children, Craig, Jeff and Kristina, brothers, Frank and wife Lynn, Matt and Darryl and his Father and Mother in law, William and Carol Wagner.

Craig's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday July 2 from 2-6 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday July 3 beginning at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church in Andover. All are invited to meet directly at church for Mass.
