Obituary of Frank Abbate

Frank Abbate of Hopatcong, NJ (formerly of West Caldwell) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Randolph, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 95 years old. Frank was born on August 18, 1921 in Newark, NJ to the late Maria (Candela) and the late Salvatore Abbate. He was a longtime resident of West Caldwell, NJ before moving to Hopatcong a short time ago. Frank owned and operated Action Business Machines in Pine Brook, NJ for many years. He enjoyed gambling at the casinos, doing scratch off tickets with Sue Parichuk and traveling. Frank was a medic in the United States Army and proudly served his country during WWII. Frank is survived by his daughter, Catherine Millian & her husband, Stephen, his granddaughters, Amanda Bowen and Nicole Millian and many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor in 2002 and his sisters, Sally Insabella and Mary Insabella. Frank's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday, July 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, July 15th at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Frank will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover, NJ.
