Obituary of Georgiana K. McManus

Georgiana Kathleen McManus, 82, of Hopatcong, passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna. Born on February 10, 1935 in Newark, NJ to the late Hugh and Delia (Ward) Dolan, Georgiana has resided in Hopatcong for over 50 years. She was a parishioner at St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong and enjoyed watching gameshows and doing crossword puzzles. Georgiana was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Georgiana was predeceased by her husband, Stewart in 2000. Three sisters and one brother also died previously. Survivors include her three sons, Stewart McManus and wife Nancy, Robert McManus and Timothy McManus, two granddaughters, Megan and Kayla, three sisters, Agnes Gaul, Patricia McGuinness and Dorothy Braikovich and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Georgiana's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday July 30 from 3-7PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be offered on Monday July 31 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Georgiana will be laid to rest, with her late husband, Stewart at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
