Obituary of Jerome P. Walsh

Jerome P. "Jerry" Walsh, Jr. 70, of Landing, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville Campus.

Born in Pittston, PA, on September 12, 1946 to the late Jerome P., Sr. and Margaret (Gates), Jerry resided in the Port Morris section of Roxbury Township from 1956 until 1981 when he moved to the Landing section of the Township. Jerry served proudly in the US army from 1966-1968. He worked as a machinist for Westinghouse in Randolph and most recently retired from Jetron in East Hanover.

Jerry was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Patrick, a sister Judy Walsh-Townsend, a sister in law, Margaret "Margie" and a nephew Patrick.

Survivors include his wife Carol (Locher), a brother, Thomas and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jerry's Life Celebration will include visitation on Sunday September 10 from 3-7 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday September 11 beginning at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mt. Arlington. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday morning at 9:00 AM prior to Mass. Jerry will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
