Obituary of George Urbano Mayorquin
George Urbano Mayorquin, 58, of Hopatcong, passed away on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at his home.
Born in Jersey City on January 25, 1959 to Urbano Mayorquin and the late Mercedes (Guevara), George lived in Union City, NJ. He moved to Hialeah, FL in 1966 and resided there until 1993 when he moved back to Union City. He has lived in Hopatcong, NJ for the last 14 years. George was a self-employed licensed electrical contractor. He was a member of IBEW #164 of Paramus and #102 of Parsippany. He loved various types of music, enjoyed all types of construction and building things from the ground up. George was a passionate Miami Dolphins fan. He was very fond of animals and volunteered his time with various pet rescue missions.
Survivors include his devoted wife Denise (Della Cave), father Urbano Mayorquin, mother in law Carmela Dolores Della Cave, a sister Barbara Perez and her husband Fernando and their children Andres and Daniela Avila-Perez, cousin Tony Perez and his wife Olivia and their children, Cristina and Susan Perez. Also surviving is his business partner Hamrit Molina.
The family is planning a memorial gathering in George's memory at a later date.
