Obituary of Dominick Sarinelli

Dominick Sarinelli of Hopatcong, NJ left this life on Saturday, September 9, 2017 the way he wanted. He was healthy, in the woods hunting, doing what he loved. 

Dominick was born on February 3, 1943 to the late Dominick & Marguerite (Nazzaro) Sarinelli.   He formerly owned and operated Dominick’s Salon in Dover and Landing, NJ.

To the people that knew him he was the manliest of men. The ultimate outdoorsman who fearlessly navigated mountains and seas worldwide for the thrill of the catch. From the days of his youth he was revered as the star football player and two-time state champion wrestler from Dover High School. He was feared in the arena and adored outside of it. He was the life of the party and the last one to leave the dance floor with his beloved wife Lucille.

To his family and friends he was the fun and outgoing husband, father, brother and uncle who taught many how to fish, hunt, work hard and enjoy life. He was also the one that made sure if it was your birthday that you were wearing your cake! He was fiercely protective of his family, loyal to his friends, and was loved and revered by all. He is a legend whose stories will endure through generations.

Dominick is survived by his angel of a wife, Lucille (Ruggiero), his children  AnneMarie & John Sandelli,  Dominick (Nick) & Dianne Sarinelli and his six grandchildren Gina, Johnny, Jenna, Angela, Renee & Marc. Additional survivors include his siblings, Deanna & Al, Frank & Marie, Raymond & Denise and their children, along with too many dear friends and relatives to mention.

Dominick will be honored at a Life Celebration on Thursday, September 14th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782, 201 Howard Blvd. in Mt. Arlington, NJ 07856 -#973-398-0440. All services were entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
