"Mr. G" was cheerful and caring toward me- I delivered the Bergen Record newspaper to the Gatti family house back in the 1970s. He was one of the few people on my paper route who would have a conversation and a kind word. I remember one winter day when i brought my sled to the hill behind their home and one of his daughters was struggling with climbing the hill to enjoy the riding so I naturally volunteered my assistance and we had a fun time. Sending my best wishes to the Gatti family~
Tom Lomauro, your Paperboy

Dear Ida, children, and grandchildren,
Michael Gatti notified us of Ron's sudden passing. We were so sorry to hear it as he seemed so vital and involved in life. It must have been such a shock for all of you and we want to extend our sincere sympathy for the loss of your dear one, and one of my fathers nephews. He certainly does bear a resemblance to my father, Larry Gatti, the youngest of that generation of Gattis. Ron was the same age as my oldest sister, Alicia. His obituary was very touching. It sounds like he lived well and left a loving legacy to his offspring. I never had the privilege of knowing my father's side of the family, except for Nelson and Michael. Michael's interest in the family tree has helped me get to know them a little bit and I've so enjoyed it. Warmest regards and prayers, Katherine Louisa Gatti/Toon.

My condolences to Ida and family. Ron was a true friend and so personable to everyone. We met at CCNY and became fraternity brothers. So many memorable times we shared during those college years. When we got together at fraternity alumni lunches over the years and reminisced, it was like everything just happened "yesterday." We didn't miss a beat. I'm saddened with his passing, but I know his legacy will live with his large family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Dear Ida and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Ron's untimely passing. So many Radburn memories. He chaperoned my very first game at Yankee Stadium (an indelible memory), I worked for him as a playgroup counselor (a wonderful boss), and I worked with him on the Radburn Board of Trustees (a true professional and public servant). He is among the kindest, hardest-working, most unflappable and patient men I've ever known. A role model for so many, a friend to so many more. I will never forget him or the many kindness he extended to me and my family over the years. May flights of angels sing him to his rest and may light perpetual shine upon him.
