Obituary of Maryann Pruden

Maryann Pruden of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by her loving family.   She was 77 years old.  Maryann was born on October 13, 1940 in Dover, NJ to the late Robert and the late Agnes (Tierney) Gaughan.

She was a lifelong resident of Hopatcong but loved spending time at her second residence in Sarasota, Florida. Mrs. Pruden was the Food Service Manager for the Hopatcong Board of Education for many years before retiring.  Maryann enjoyed the sun, sitting on the beach and trips to Atlantic City but most importantly, she loved spending time with her cherished children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Maryann is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ray, her daughters, Robbyn Mabie & her husband, Robert, Kelli Green & her husband, James and her son, Scott Pruden & his wife, Pamela.  Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren; Kimberly, Timothy, Tyler, Chelsea, Carley and Cortney, her great-grandchildren, Bentley, Samantha, Kayli and Madelyn and too many dear friends and relatives to mention.  She was pre-deceased by her sister, Margaret Gaughan.

Maryann’s Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, January 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Farmstead Golf & Country Club, 88 Lawrence Road, Lafayette, NJ #973-383-1666.  All services were entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
