Obituary of Francisca Casasnovas

Francisca Casasnovas, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, of Hopatcong, passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Puerto Rico, Francisca came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Jefferson prior to moving to Hopatcong 47 years ago. She worked at Dover Handbag in Netcong and Samsung in Ledgewood, as well as being a dedicated homemaker and raising her family. Francisca loved gardening and also enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Francisca was predeceased by her husband Poligeno in 2012 and by two brothers Ramon and Felipe.

Survivors include her children Iraida Clark (Bruce), Roque Casasnovas (Pamela), Eunice Chiarella (Richard), Jose Casasnovas (Penny), Maria Sylvester (Anthony), Lourdes Nardone (Tony) and Andrew Casasnovas, her siblings Mirta, Jorge, Cecelia, Samuel, Tomasita and Margerita, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Francisca's Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday December 4, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday December 5, 2017 beginning at 10:30AM at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong. Francisca will be laid to rest at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
