Obituary of Louis Bunnicant, Jr.

Louis "Butch" Bunnicant, Jr., 69, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 2, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Dover to the late Louis Bunnicant, Sr. and Ruth Schere, Butch has resided in Hopatcong his entire life. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Butch worked at Hopatcong Hardware and dedicated many years to the Hopatcong Warriors Youth Football Program as a coach and volunteer. He enjoyed visits to Long Beach Island, NJ. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Janet in 2008.

Survivors include his children, Lisa Kattermann (Chris), Anthony Bunnicant (Kelly) and Keith Bunnicant, four grandchildren Ava and Amelia Kattermann and Addison and Anthony Bunnicant, Jr.

Butch's Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday December 6 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Wednesday evening at 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
