Desmond’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". We love and will miss Father O'Connor. He married us on November 5, 2010 and we will never forget that blessed day. Father was also very good to our Mom, Ann Marie Bonner. She attends daily message at Our Lady of the Lake and misses Father O'Connor very much.

Fr O'Connor was a very special person in our family's life...quick witted and so good natured,he could make you smile so easily. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

When I moved back to Landing I found the smiling, warm, Fr. O’Connor at Our Lady of the Lake. During my 35 years of knowing Fr Des he always had an inspiring message, words of encouragement and reminders of God’s love for all of us. May you rest with the angels. You were a faithful servant to our church family and to God. Rest well. Your presence will be missed!
