Obituary of Emilio Notaroberto
Emilio Notaroberto, age 89, of Stanhope, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover surrounded by his loving family. Born in Futani, Italy, to the late Clementina and Florigi Notaroberto, he came to the United States at the age of 19. He lived in Dover & Netcong before moving to Stanhope 54 years ago. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Aurora Notaroberto, to whom he was married for 59 years. Emilio was an extremely hard worker and retired from Picatinny Arsenal in 1993 after 42 years of loyal, dedicated and distinguished service to the US Government. He also held numerous part time jobs. He was an active member of the Stanhope/Netcong Senior Citizens Club and an avid gardener who enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Emilio was a devoted, loving, warm, compassionate, kind and generous father/husband. He exemplified great faith, loyalty to family and hard work.
Survivors include his children and their spouses: Anthony and Kathleen Notaroberto, Anna and Anthony Sebasto, Tina and Kevin Gopon and James and Cindy Notaroberto. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his loving brother/sister-in-law Aniello and Victoria Notaroberto, sister/brother-in-law Marie and David Meurer, sister-in-law/brother-in-law Carmella and Nicholas Fluri, sister-in-law/brother-in-law Eva and Donato and brother-in-law John. He is predeceased by his brother, Antonio Notaroberto, sister/brother-in-law Anna and Aniello Ruocco, sister-in-law's Angelina, Antoninette and Maria.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 25th at 10:00am at St. Michael Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ 07857. All are invited to meet directly at church. Emilio will be laid to rest, next to his beloved wife Aurora, at Stanhope Union Cemetery following Mass. The family will receive friends and relatives for Emilio's Life Celebration on Wednesday, January 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
