Obituary of Christine Fransen

Christine Marie Fransen, 75, of Succasunna, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 25, 2018 at Merry Heart Assisted Living Facility in Succasunna.

Born in Orange, NJ on October 16, 1942 to the late Wallace and Marie (Murphy) Beetle, Christine resided in Hopatcong for 36 years prior to moving to Succasunna 5 years ago. During her years in Hopatcong, Christine was very active in the community, especially with the Hopatcong Fire Co #3 Women's Auxiliary. She worked as Manager of Hopatcong Paints and Hardware and attended St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong. Christine's loving and caring personality was evident, especially to her family and friends. Always outgoing and fun, Christine enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and traveling to different States and Islands which included Wildwood, Florida, Hawaii and Hershey, PA. She loved planting sunflowers and mums in her garden, but most important to Christine was her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Christine was predeceased by her husband, James and a brother in law, Mike Wickham.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristina Van Kirk (Christopher), two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Dalton Van Kirk, siblings, Barbara Wickham, Sandy Verderamo (Richard) and Jeff Beetle. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who all knew her as "Aunt Tini".

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Christine's Life Celebration on Monday, January 29, from 3-7PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at 10:30AM Tuesday, January 30, at the funeral home. Family And friends may begin gathering at the funeral home Tuesday morning at 10AM prior to services.
