Obituary of Pauline Stabile

Pauline Stabile, 89, of the Succasunna section of Roxbury passed away, peacefully, on Sunday January 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

 

Born in Manhattan on January 29, 1928 to the late John and Salome (Moskwa) Efimenko, Pauline worked as a cashier for Con Edison in New York City prior to starting her family.  A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Pauline enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching sports on TV, General Hospital and playing Bunco with friends.  Most important to Pauline was spending time with her family.

 

Pauline was predeceased by her son, Peter Stabile, her twin brother, Peter Efimenko and younger brother Danny Efimenko.

 

Survivors include her husband, Damiano, children, Sally Smethy (Michael) and Steven Stabile (Tina), three grandchildren, Sarah and David Smethy and Emma Stabile and dedicated puppies Watson and Elsa.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

 

Pauline’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Friday February 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  A prayer service will be offered Friday evening at 7:30PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  For memorial donations, please consider St Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
