Obituary of Dennis R. Zabriskie

Dennis R. Zabriskie of Allamuchy Twp., NJ passed away suddenly on Monday, March 26, 2018 at home. He was 68 years old. Dennis was born on August 2, 1949 in Morristown, NJ to the late Stephen and Elona (Helen) Marhefka Zabriskie.

Mr. Zabriskie was a CAD Application Engineer. He worked for Cisco Systems for many years before retiring. He graduated Boonton High School in 1967 and then DeVry Institute of Technology in 1969. He lived in Hopatcong for many years before moving to Allamuchy 11 years ago. Dennis was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening but most importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Cynthia (Crump), his devoted children, Darlene G., Dennis R. Jr., Bryan S. (Erin), and Melissa L. Zabriskie. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Gregory, Adrianna, Julia, Ashley, Rylee, Tyler, Parker and Adalynn, great grandchildren, Cash and Leyla, his sister, Elayne Lynch and brother, Alan Zabriskie and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by brothers, Richard in 2008 and Stephen (Butch) in 1992.

Dennis's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Saturday, March 31st from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, April 2nd at 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, 4 Church St., Netcong, NJ #973-347-0032. Family & friends are invited to meet DIRECTLY at the church on Monday morning. Dennis will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ immediately following the mass. All services were entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. For memorial donations, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
