Obituary of Mary Serpe
Mary Serpe of the Cranberry Lake Section of Byram Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Newton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old. Mary was born in Bryan, Texas to the late Sam and the late Rosalie (Messina) Piccolo.
Mrs. Serpe was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary and her late husband, Vincent lived in Byram Twp. for the past 43 years. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, bingo, singing and trips to Marco Island and Naples Florida. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family especially her cherished grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her devoted daughters, Lucille Dotterweich and her husband, Dan and MaryAnn Ferrucci and her husband, Albert, her cherished grandchildren, Debbie, Laura, Vinnie, Jackie, Christina and Alyssa, her great-grandchildren, Frankie, Stephanie, Steven, Daniel, Lauren, Taylor, Kristen, Faith and Morgan. Additional survivors include her brother, Lee Piccolo and his wife, LaVerne and many cousins, nieces and nephews and her faithful canine companion, Beau. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent P. Serpe in 2015, her daughter, Rosalie Andresky in 2015 and her grandson, Daniel Dotterweich in 2017 and five siblings.
Mary's Life Celebration will include visitation on Tuesday, May 15th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, May 16th at 10:30am at St. Jude Parish, 17 Mount Olive Road, Budd Lake, NJ. Family and Friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Wednesday morning. Mary will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
