Obituary of Robert J. Sanders

Robert J. Sanders Sr., 84 of Naples, FL (formerly of Stanhope, NJ) passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Florida.

Robert worked as a salesman for Permanent Label in Clifton before his retirement. He was a Korean War Army Veteran receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Occupation Medal Germany and the National Defense Service Medal.

He is survived by his loving wife Myrtel B. (Berge). His dear children Robert J. Sanders Jr., Dawn L. McGovern and Denise Furia. He is also predeceased by his son Keith in 2000. Cherished grandchildren Kelsey, Robby, Gavin, Kendall, Sonja, Mia and Alexa.

Robert's Life Celebration will be held on Monday, May 21 from 12 to 2pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Funeral Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Twp.
