Obituary of Thomas Joseph Schiavo

Thomas Joseph Schiavo, of Hopatcong, passed away Monday August 19 at Morristown Memorial Medical Center. He was 59. Born in Jersey City, Thomas grew up in Mt. Arlington and resided in Succasunna and finally in Hopatcong for the last few years. He was an attorney at law and served as the prosecuting attorney for the Township of Roxbury and the Borough of Hopatcong before retirement. Thomas was predeceased by his father, Gustave in 1996. Survivors include his four children, Andrea Chavoso and husband Rey, Suzanne Schiavo, Stephen Schiavo and Thomas Schiavo, Jr. and wife, Courtney, two granddaughters, Madelyn and Leah Chavoso, his mother, Charlotte Schiavo, four brothers, Joseph, Robert, John and Gus Schiavo, a sister Teresa Schiavo and his dear friend, Susan Humenik.
