Obituary of Sean D. Young

Sean D. Young, 44, of Hopatcong passed away on Monday June 11, 2018 at his home.

Born in Dover, NJ on February 6, 1974 to John F. and Elide (Whalen) Young, Sean was a lifetime resident of Hopatcong. Sean worked as a Senior Analyst for Verizon Wireless in Bedminster. Sean was a dedicated volunteer, coaching for the Hopatcong Warriors Youth Football for 23 years and the Hopatcong Junior Chiefs Wrestling for 13 years. For his dedication, Sean was inducted into the Morris County Youth Football Hall of Fame. He was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed river fishing, hunting and photography.

Survivors include his parents, John F. and Elide S., a brother John W. and his wife, Kristi, two nephews, Ryan Keener and Tucker Young, a niece, Kalle Young and an Aunt, Madeline Young. Also surviving are many close friends.

Sean's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Friday June 22 from 4-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Hopatcong Warriors Youth Football Program, PO Box 368, Hopatcong, NJ 07843.
