Obituary of Charles Martini

Charles Martini, Jr. of Byram Township, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away on Thursday August 15 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 86. Born in Hartford, CT, Charles resided in New York City and Hopatcong, before moving to Byram Township in 2008. He worked for 28 years for Kirsch Company of New York City and Edison, NJ as a shipping clerk. Charles was a proud veteran of both the US Merchant Marines and US Army serving on both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, WWII Victory Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal. Charles was also a member of the Hopatcong Seniors. Devoted husband of the late Ida (2004), loving father of Mark and his companion, Roseann and Lorraine Pellek and her husband, James, beloved grandfather of Mark, Brittany, Ryan, Tamara, Danielle, Timothy and Ruth Ann, adoring great grandfather of Helen, Eleanor and Christopher and dear brother of Loretta Fabiszak, the late Edward, Raymond, John and Katherine.
