Obituary of Patricia Ann Porter Brown

Patricia Ann Porter Brown, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday July 26th, 2018 at her home in Paragon Village, Mt. Olive Township.

Born on December 18, 1943 to the late George and Carlotta Porter in Bronx, NY. Patricia resided in Mt. Arlington, NJ prior to moving to Mt. Olive six years ago. She earned a Master's Degree in History from Manhattan College. She began her career teaching history in New Rochelle, NY before moving to Massachusetts. She was married and had two children, Katharine and Michael. She later worked as an Executive Editor for Scholastic Publishing of New York City. Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed watching tennis and ice skating.

She was predeceased by her brother, John Porter.

Survivors include her daughter, Katharine, son Michael and three granddaughters, Avery, Quinn and Peyton.

Patricia's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Tuesday July 31 from 10 to11 AM at Paragon Village, 425 Route 46, Mt. Olive, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation, in her name, to the American Cancer
