Obituary of Ida Cucinella

Ida (nee: DeRosa) Cucinella of Ledgewood passed away Friday August 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was 86.

Born in Calabria Italy, she came to the United States at the age of 14. Ida lived in Succasunna before moving to Ledgewood 23 years ago.

A homemaker and a parishioner of St. Therese RC Church in Succasunna, she enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Salvatore J., Sr. Devoted mother of Virginia Capra (Tony), Salvatore (Lorraine), Robert (Debbie), John (Reenie), Patricia Dattolo (Phil) and the late Piera Maria. Cherished grandmother of Salvatore Robert Cucinella, Anthony Capra, Lisa Marie Cucinella, Bobby Cucinella, Nicole Capra, Anthony Dattolo, John Michael Capra, Alexis Lynn Cucinella, Deanna Dattolo, Eric Cucinella and Stephanie Cucinella. Loving great grandmother of Benjamin, Quinn, Alexander, Isabella and Rylee.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ida’s Life Celebration on Sunday August 5 from 1-4PM and 6-9PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday August 6 at 10:00AM at St. Therese RC Church, Succasunna.

Following mass, Ida will be laid to rest with her husband at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.

As Ida had a love of flowers, flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ida’s memory may be made to The American Cancer Society (cancer.org), NJ American Parkinson Disease Association (apdaparkinson.org) or The Children’s Heart Foundation Pennsylvania Chapter (pennsylvania.childrensheartfoundation.org).
