Obituary of Rosemarie DiRupo
Rosemarie DiRupo, 85, of the Succasunna section of Roxbury Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 8th , 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 17th , 1933 in Netcong, NJ to the late Ernest and Mary (Ravo) Palanchi, Rosemarie has resided in Succasunna for 44 years. Rosemarie worked as a Procurement Manager at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton before retiring in 2001. She loved cooking for her family and friends and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and trips to the casinos to play the slot machines. Her favorite restaurant was Pub 199 in Mt. Arlington, where she spent many enjoyable evenings with family and friends. Most importantly, Rosemarie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She was predeceased by sisters, Necelia Polianchik and Theresa Weaver and a brother, Joseph Palanchi.
Survivors include her children, Paul DiRupo and his wife Geralyn, Brad DiRupo, Tammy Alford and her husband, Steve and Marianne DiRupo, five grandchildren, Cori Mazzacca and her husband, Dan, Alix Alford, Tyler Alford, Chad DiRupo and Niki Alford and one great granddaughter, Amelia DiRupo-Merz.
Rosemarie’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday August 12th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Monday August 13th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday morning at 9:30 AM. Rosemarie will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township immediately following the prayer service.
